1. INSTALLATION

You can find the free version and install it directly from the WordPress plugin repository:

  • Navigate to Plugins >> Add New.
  • Type “Woo BPO” in the search box.
  • Click Install Now >> Activate.
PRO Version (Get it here ➠)

After successfully purchased Woo BPO PRO, you will receive a confirmation email in your inbox with links to download the installation .zip file with the latest version of Woo BPO Pro

  • Download the PRO .zip file.
  • Do not Deactivate the free version
  • Click Upload New >> Choose file.
  • Locate the Woo BPO PRO .zip file then press Install Now >> Activate.

INSTALL UPDATES

If you are using the Pro version of Woo BPO, then you will need to validate your license key in order to use the PRO features and get premium support.

On your WordPress Plugins admin panel you should see Woo Beautiful Product Offers. When there is an update available on WordPress.org the Woo BPO section will turn pale orange, and have a red bar on the left edge. There will be a link to update, like in the screenshot below.

Once you click it, a small updating spinner will appear, and then it will say “Updated!”.

Then your update is finished.

This process is very, very similar to installing via FTP. The only real difference is that the Woo BPO folders will already exist.

First go to the WordPress plugins repository at https://wordpress.org/plugins and search for Woo Beautiful Product Offers. Then open plugin page and click on the Download button under the plugin page banner to download the .zip file

Once you have the zip file, open it (typically by double clicking it) and inside you’ll file a folder called Woo BPO.

This is where things differ from the install.  Now you want to take the CONTENTS of the Woo BPO folder, and put them inside the existing Woo BPO folder on the server.

Now go to the Plugins page in your WordPress admin area, find Woo Beautiful Product Offers, deactivate and immediately reactivate it. This will allow the install hooks to fire and check for database updates etc.

Then you’re finished!

Another way to effectively update your extensions manually is by using the Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades plugin for WordPress.

Step 1: Download the latest version. Either from WordPress repository or your account page.

Step 2: Install and Activate the Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades plugin.  Do this via your WordPress admin interface

Step 3: Install and Activate the new version of Woo BPO. Simply upload the plugin as if you were installing it, and the Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades plugin will automatically handle upgrading as needed.

Offer Up-Sells

Up-selling — offering a better, usually more expensive version of a product — is another effective way to use Woo BPO. It allows you to:

  1. Create kits including a main product of interest, along with some related, usually optional products.
  2. Promote these kits using the Up-Sells feature built into WooCommerce.

In this case, the offer aims to make the purchase an enhanced version of a product appealing — that’s what up-selling is all about. However, instead of presenting a different product with better specs (and a higher price tag), a similar result is possible by offering a version of the viewed product that includes some helpful extras preconfigured using Woo BPO.

This works best when the decision to opt for the kit version is an easy one. In general:

  • The matching has to be helpful.
  • The added extras should be relatively inexpensive and/or potentially appealing to as many customers as possible.
